I had a weird experience with this institution. They tell me it is common in Armenian banking industry to distort the meanings of the banking vocabulary like deposit, credit, overdraft - they have a whole new meaning to these words. My experience with Acba Bank was regarding my credit card. My credit card contract got expired and instead of automatically renewing the contract or sending me a new contract to sign they called me and demanded to pay my credit in full, close the account and then go to the bank and sign new contract for a new credit account. They have very few offices in Yerevan, the customer service is lousy and there are always long “Armenain” queues in the tiny office of the bank on the Bayron street. Everytime I had to go there I would loose time in senseless fights on bringing some order to customer care. They have six or seven teller windows and usually three of them are closed and the rest are packed with people who do not give a damn about queues or who came first. It’s just sad.
