This section of the site is designed to inform the reader of the issues that are a cause for concern in regards to Turkey's ascension talks with the European Union. Among these issues, this section includes controversial articles from Turkey's new penal code, articles from the international press, recognition of the Armenian Genocide across Europe and information on the activities of the European-Armenian Diaspora.
These organizations are listed in alphabetical order by the name of the country in which they are located.

Forum Of Armenian Associations Of Europe

The Forum of Armenian Associations in Europe was established in 1998 to assemble and facilitate co-operation between Armenian organizations in the European Diaspora. It now counts member organizations in 16 European countries and growing. Armenians from all over Europe, east and west, have thus been meeting every year in June since 1999 under the aegis of the FAAE to network and develop joint initiatives. The Forum, furthermore, is pluralistic and deals with all issues of interest to its member organizations, including international relations, human rights issues, economic co-operation and cultural matters.

Armenian Apostolic Church Community Of Austria (In German)

This is the official website of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Austria, which is based in Vienna. It contains information on its services including a forum, a community events calendar, links to other Armenian organizations, Armenian news and more. The site also contains historic maps of Armenia and other relevant historical information.

Austrian Armenian Cultural Society (In German)

Founded 1974 in Vienna, Austria, the Austrian-Armenian Cultural Society is an organization that promotes cultural ties between Armenia and Austria and vice versa. Its main goal is to introduce Austrians to the Armenian culture and heritage as well as informing Armenians about the Austrian culture and history. The Austrian-Armenian Cultural Society – whose members are Armenians as well as Austrians, eg scientists, writers, artists, renowned intellectuals, etc. – is maintaining cultural ties to various organizations in Austria, Armenia and the diaspora. Among its vast activities, it runs Armenian language lessons, assistance programs to Armenia, youth camping events and much more.

The European Armenian Federation (Belgium)

The European Armenian Federation for Justice and Democracy is a Brussels based Armenian lobby group that fights for the advocacy of Armenian issues. Its most significant accomplishments include the recognition of the Armenian Genocide by the European Parliament on June 18th, 1987. The FEAJD has also had considerable success in its advocacy of issues that threatened Armenian populations in Nagorno-Karabakh, the Javakheti region of Georgia and Turkey.

December 17th, 2004 (Belgium)

Organized by several multinational political parties in the Armenian Diaspora, the purpose of this site is to create a large gathering of protestors on December 17th in Brussels. The protest is aimed at reminding European Union leaders that the Armenian genocide recognition is a prerequisite to the opening of the negotiations of Turkey’s ascension to the European Union.

The Armenian Community Of Bulgaria (Bulgaria)

This site contains a well organized list overarching a number of Armenian institutions and organizations in Bulgaria. Towards the end of the last century, the Armenian community in Bulgaria amounted to 22,000 people. This number has approximately doubled as a result of the settlement of a fresh wave of refugees from Armenia during the last decade.

Since its establishment, the Armenian Community in Bulgaria has been leading diverse and extensive public life by actively participating in all fields of the country's economic, cultural, and social life.

Hayem is a site dedicated to represent the issues and concerns of the Armenian Community of Cyprus. There is an online forum, as well as many resources that discuss the Armenian Genocide and the issue of Northern Cyprus as they relate to Turkey's negotiations with the European Union.

Armenian National Commitee Of France (In French And English)

The Armenian National Committee of France (CDCA) is the largest French-Armenian grassroots political organization. Working in coordination with a network of offices, chapters and supporters throughout the European Union and sister-organizations around the world, the CDCA actively advances the concerns of the Armenian community in France and in the EU on a broad range of issues.

Collectif Vigilance Arménienne Contre Le Négationnisme (VAN)

Collectif VAN is a French-Armenian organization which is against the Turkey's ascension to the European Union without recognition of the Armenian Genocide. Collectif VAN operates by sending daily updates via email (articles, events and more) to subcribers in French, but also in English regard a multitude of Armenian issues not limited to the Armenian Genocide.

Yevrobatsi (In French) (France)

Yevrobatsi is a site where Armenian communities in Europe can come to discuss their thoughts on Turkey's ascension to the European Union, as well as other major issues of relevance. There are a number of articles on the EU and Turkey, links to other Armenian organizations primarily in France, news, periodicals, events and much more.

German-Armenian Society (In German And English)

The German-Armenian Society was founded in Berlin in 1914. Apart from Johannes Lepsius, Protestant priest and first chairman, its original members included the journalist Paul Rohrbach and the Armenian author Avetik Issahakyan.

The aims of the DAG are to promote mutual understanding between Germans and Armenians and to safeguard the interests of Armenians living in Germany. Furthermore, the DAG defends the rights and interests of Armenian minorities, including in Turkey and other Middle Eastern countries.

Armenian National Committee Of Greece (In Greek And English)

The Armenian National Committee Greece (ANCG) was established in 1965 and maintains offices in various cities of Greece. Affiliated committees function in all the communities of the Armenian Diaspora, and constitute the world network that promotes the Armenian Cause. The ANCG. is the official political institution that represents the Armenian Diaspora. Its fundamental goal is the notification of the Armenian Cause in International level and the promotion of solutions that will restitute the Armenian people for the crime of the Armenian Genocide in 1915 from Turkey.

The Armenian Community Of Rome (In Italian) (Italy)

The purpose of the Armenian Community of Rome is to maintain, defend and reinforce the Armenian spirit and identity through the organization of social, cultural and religious activities. Among its many activities, the community runs Armenian language lessons for adults, holds conferences, celebrations for Armenian holidays, religious festivals and more.

The Abovian Armenian Association (Netherlands)

The Abovian Armenian Association is an Armenian community center located in the Hague, which hosts regular events include lectures, films, art and msuic. Recently, they hosted a series of discussions on Armenian politics and Turkey's ascension to the European Union featuring a number of guest lecturers. They also have offer Armenian language courses and traditional dance lessons for both children and adults.

24 April Comite (Netherlands)

The 24 April Comite belongs to the Federation of Armenian Organizations of the Netherlands. It is dedicated to fighting the denial of the Armenian Genocide through international recognition. The Comite also has discussions on issues relevant to the Armenian Community including the Genocide as it relates to Turkey's ascension to the European Union.

Swiss-Armenian Association (In English, French, German)

The goal of the Swiss-Armenian Association is to cultivate and encourage friendly cultural and economic ties between Switzerland and Armenia. The organization is headquartered in German speaking Bern (slightly northeast of the center of the country). With no political affiliation, the ASA supports endeavors that strengthen Armenian history, culture and identity.

The Campaign for Recognition of the Armenian Genocide is a United Kingdom based organization. It is a single issue group that fights for the recognition of the Armenian Genocide in Britain, the Turkish Governments denial and advocates for historical reality and political responsibility.

Centre For Armenian Information And Advice "Hayashen" (United Kingdom)

The Centre for Armenian Information and Advice (CAIA) is the principal focus for the welfare and educational needs of over 15,000 Armenians scattered across London. Established in 1986, thanks to funding from the London Borough Grants Scheme, the CAIA's primary aim is to enhance the quality of life for disadvantaged members of the Armenian community, specifically those in poverty and isolation such as refugees, older people, women and children.

Diaspora-Armenia Connection (United Kingdom And France) (In English And French)

Diaspora-Armenia Connection was created in 1999 by a group of French-Armenian volunteers. Each summer, DAC brings groups of young Armenians from around the world to volunteer in various Armenian villages. In addition to teaching the arts and foreign languages to children and renovating schools, the projects focus on training local doctors, health protection and the rules of hygiene.
