Yerevan, April 21. /Mediamax/. The agreement on the construction of Iran-Armenia gas pipeline will be signed during the visit of Iranian Minister of Oil and Gas Bijan Zanganeh to Yerevan within the next few days.

Armenian Minister of Energy Armen Movsisian said in Yerevan today that Yerevan and Teheran "have practically finished" the talks on the construction of the pipeline, Mediamax reports. He noted that the construction of Iran-Armenia gas pipeline will take about a year.

Armenian President Robert Kocharian said in Yerevan on April 20 that Iran-Armenia gas pipeline will serve Armenia's internal needs only and will not be used for further transit of the Iranian gas to Europe.
