Yerevan, April 21. /Mediamax/. Armenian President Robert Kocharian said in Yerevan today that Iran-Armenia gas pipeline will serve to satisfy Armenia's energy needs only.

"We do not discuss other variants with the Iranian side," said Robert Kocharian in reply to the question about the possible use of this gas pipeline for further transit of gas to Europe.

Addressing a briefing in Yerevan today, Robert Kocharian said that "the construction of the gas pipeline is extremely important in the context of providing Armenia's energy independence," Mediamax reports.
