YEREVAN (YERKIR) - Lebanese President Emil Lahud has issued a statement in connection with the 90th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. The statement reads in particular.

"No one can forget the call of the innocent. All the parts and communities of the Lebanese people extend their solidarity with their Armenian fellow-citizens, and reiterate that the recognition of and respect for the rights of others is the basis for healthy international relations.

The grave Genocide will always be a large part of our history, and we should always seek to be united and focus our forces with an aim to establish a society based on humanity, tolerance, peace and respect."
