Armenian National Congress proposes a resolution to counter the one submitted by Azerbaijan
ArmRadio -- The Armenian National Congress is convinced that the Armenian side does not take adequate steps against the resolution submitted to the UN by Azerbaijan. The Congress suggests its own solutions in this regard.
When Azerbaijan presented the resolution to the UN, it was interested in the process, rather than the adoption, Coordinator of the Armenian National Congress Levon Zurabyan told a press conference today. According to him, Azerbaijan uses the resolution as a means to get concessions.
The Congress suggests presenting a resolution on the “Situation in regard of peaceful settlement of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict” in response to the one submitted by Azerbaijan.
“If Azerbaijan comes forth with a resolution, where it presents its views of the conflict, and there is no resolution to counter it, it means that the world gets to know Azerbaijan’s opinion only,” Zurabyan said, adding that the existence of a response resolution is a necessary, not sufficient condition for presenting our position to the world.
