ArmeniaNow  --  The State Statistical Service has reported what everyone in Armenia knows: Life continues to get more expensive.

Figures for October show that real-price costs rose more than 20 percent compared to October 2010. The average is heavily influenced by the dramatic nearly 41 percent rise in sugar prices.

Specifically: Sugar price rose by 40.9 percent; butter, 22.2 percent; cheese, 19.6 percent; cooking oil, 19.2 percent; beef, 18.9 percent; eggs, 13.9 percent.
