T
he town of Shushi is about 5 hours drive from Yerevan. It has been and continues to be one of the cultural centers of the region at its time. It was part of  the Republic of Azerbaijan until May 9, 1992, when it was liberated by the Armenians.

Shushi is 40 minutes far from Stepanakert, the capital of  the Republic of Nagorno Karabakh.

The building which is anticipated for the art gallery is in the city center. It is the building on the left in the picture above.

This is a close-up picture of the building. It shows the the north wall of the  "soon to be" art gallery.

Although the building is in ruins, it keeps its style of unique architecture that can be found mainly in Shushi.

The building is of white stone, which is typical for this town.

This is a view of the same building from the west.

The picture above also shows the paved pathway that leads to the structure.

The pictures above is taken from the interior of the building...

This is a similar picture to the previous one. The only difference is that it was taken from another angle.

The area needs a general clean up...

The building originally has had two floors. The roof does not exist today.

The only thing reminding us of a once standing building is the white facade of the structure...
